Brand Articulation: What You Say

What we do: This is the foundational work: we clarify who you are, what you do, and why it matters.

How we do it: We uncover the throughline between your work, your values, and the value you bring, then we translate it into a narrative your audiences can recognize and trust.

Why it matters: A brand narrative blueprint serves as an anchor for your long-term communications and marketing goals.

Best for: Early stage founders, nonprofits preparing to scale, or organizations seeking clarity before going live with their product, message, or story.

About Minor Seventh

In music, a minor seventh chord is used to bring dynamism to a melody. These are the chords that make you swing in their unresolved tension, creating continuity that lingers long after the song is over. When I built this consultation practice, I drew inspiration from my choir days. As a six-year-old kid with great sensitivity and few friends, my elementary school's choir ensemble became my refuge. Upon joining, I tapped into the power of my own voice, both as a unique instrument and as a key contributor to songs only possible when a group of people comes together to create perfect harmony. That's the work I do at Minor Seventh. I help organizations define what they want to say, how they want to say it, and build the structure to hold the narrative that moves your business forward.

Because voice and its tone become the conduit through which meaning, trust, and connection travel, when we work together, we'll narrow in on identity, language, and systems—defining and expressing your voice while operationalizing communication in critical moments.

My work is guided by a set of core values that shape how I think, listen, and build.

Creativity flourishes when imagination meets need.

Creativity

Empathy understands the inner forces (the motives, values, and experiences) that drive choice. It is input shaping output.

Empathy

Lead with inquiry. Peel back the layers of a problem to uncover a deeper understanding.

Curiosity

Whether it's building systems or telling a story, build with the end in mind. Design for longevity, with foresight and flexibility to adapt.

Future-Forward

Excellence is not a destination, but a disciplined practice that magnifies your efforts over time.

Excellence

Discipline is a habit. It is the compounding of consistent effort that drives improvement. It is a growth mindset in action.

Strengthened Organizational Voice Through Storytelling

Developed and delivered narrative content across internal and external channels, highlighting people, programs, and impact, to reinforce shared identity and increase engagement among prospective teammates, donors, and advocates.
